Returning the injured employee to the work setting focuses on what the temporarily-disabled employee can do, and not solely any aspects of the injury that prevent the employee from returning to his or her usual job.

When an employee is injured, same or next day appointments are scheduled so the employee out of work starts treatment towards returning to gainful employment as fast as possible without wasting out of work paid dollars. The employer is notified of the injury and can begin communication directly towards getting that employee back to work. Transitional temporary light duty assignment even for a couple hours a day enhances the workers desire to return to work.

Dr. Lenkewicz works with the company doctor, medical management nurse or occupational counselor to develop and allow transitional assignments wherever possible. Using the job analysis, the tool which describes the physical and temporal requirements of the the transitional job, we will work with the company matching the injured employee’s abilities with the job
